Before he retired in 2011, one of the last projects that Bob Hammond brought to life was Langford Creek Fish Camp. And although this unique and visionary retreat had received recognition at the Chapter level not once, but twice – from both the AIA Chesapeake Bay Chapter and AIA Baltimore – we felt that it had the potential to stand shoulder to shoulder with other projects representing the best residential architecture across the State of Maryland.

We were proud for this project to receive a Citation Award for Residential Architecture at the AIA Maryland Annual Awards Celebration on September 17th at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club in Stevensville. It was one of only 22 award-winning projects selected from a field of 129 professional entries submitted by 57 firms.  AIA Maryland is composed of three Chapters: AIA Baltimore, AIA Potomac Valley and AIA Chesapeake Bay. Hammond Wilson was the sole awardee representing the Chesapeake Bay Chapter.
