Historic Maryland Avenue
Project Details
Location: Annapolis, Maryland
Year: 2003

Renovation of this Federal period townhouse in Annapolis’ Historic District consisted of both preservation of the historic building and substantial interior renovations, with the addition of a conservatory, master bedroom, and garage.

Original flooring, staircases, windows, interior doors and millwork components were retained and refurbished throughout. Structural framing was retained where possible. Open-cell insulation, geothermal heating/air conditioning, and state-of-the-art lighting control were incorporated to bring this historic home into the present and ensure its longevity.

A labor of love for its owners and the craftsmen who worked on its restoration, the home was featured on HGTV’s “Old Homes Restored” (Episode OHR-213).
