Rising from the site of the Annapolis Yacht Club’s devastating 2015 fire, this 21,600-square-foot clubhouse redefines one of the city’s most recognizable waterfront landmarks. Located on Spa Creek at the foot of the Eastport Bridge in the Historic District of Annapolis, the design preserves the original 1961 concrete structure and historic massing while introducing light-filled interiors that celebrate panoramic water views. Expansive glazing, warm ipe cladding, and finely detailed stainless-steel elements evoke the craftsmanship of classic yachts, creating an architecture that feels both timeless and distinctly maritime. Inside, layered dining spaces, generous terraces, and an open sculptural stair seamlessly connect members to the harbor at every level. The result is a refined yet welcoming clubhouse that honors its past while embracing a contemporary vision for waterfront living.
