Easton, Maryland

Inspired by the architecture of early twentieth century English country houses, this home blends grandeur with the bucolic on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Water surrounds the six-acre site, providing magnificent views in all directions.

The controlled courtyard in front serves as a serene counterpoint to the open views from the home’s interior spaces and waterfront living areas. A double volume living room and dramatic curved staircase provide a sense of elegance and spacious backdrop to the expansive views of this Chesapeake Bay tributary. The same graceful feel extends to more intimate spaces, such as the comfortable guest house and the large family room with exposed heavy timbers painted white.
